Sewing and Quilting Class Schedule

Registration for classes is from January 3 – February 28.

Class size is limited, please register as soon as you are able so you will be ensured a spot!

All Classes MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 STUDENTS REGISTERED.  Classes with less than 2 students registered by Feb 28 will be canceled.

QUILTING CLASSES

Block of the Month Workshop –  2016 December Block · (1 Hour) · FREE  
January 12

A Free Workshop to help with cutting and constructing this slightly out of the box design. Bring your block, sewing machine, rotary cutter and cutting mat. Work on your block, or just come and observe.

Learn to Rag Quilt · (3 Hours) · $25  
March 18 or 23; April 22 or 25

So you want to make your first rag quilt and just need a little help? This class is for you! Learn to use a rotary cutter and sew a fun, quick and easy rag quilt.

Rail Fence – Beginning Quilting · (3 sessions 2.5 Hours each) · $55
Feb. 15, 22 & March 1 OR  April 27, May 4 & 18

Suitable for someone who has never quilted before, or perhaps not for a very long while. Teaches rotary cutting skills and piecing. Goal is to have a completed quilt top at the end of the 3rd session.  Students will make a quilt top the same size as the sample hanging in the store. Students are expected to attend each of the 3 sessions as well as do some work at home.

4 Patch Quilt – Beginning Quilting · (3 sessions 2.5 Hours each) · $55
March 25, April 1 & 8

Pinwheel Quilt – Confident Beginner · (3 sessions 2.5 Hours each) · $55  
April 6, 20 & May 11

This class is not for the Beginner Quilter.  Learn to cut and sew half square triangles and put together this fun, versatile style of quilt.

Finishing your Quilt · (2.5 Hours) · $25
March 15 OR April 29 OR June 1

Bring your pieced, finished quilt top and learn to pin baste your batting and backing, quilt and attach binding.

SEWING CLASSES

Introduction to Sewing · (2 Hours) · $30

Learn sewing basics on your sewing machine and complete a small project to build your skills and confidence. This class will prepare you for our other beginning sewing project classes.Instructor: Sharon Probst

*Beginning Sewing – Tote Bag · (3 Hours) · $30
March 14 OR May 9

Using our pattern (purchased separately) you will be guided through cutting and assembling this simple and practical Tote Bag.

*Beginning Sewing – Pillowcase · (3 Hours) · $30
March 21 OR May 16

A very simple and fun way to make a decorative pillowcase for your bed or for a gift. You may want to buy extra fabric to make more than one.

*Beginning Sewing – Table Runner · (3 Hours) · $30
March 28 OR May 23

Learn to make a very basic and simple table runner which requires no batting and can be completed during the class. Easy to follow instructions, a perfect class for anyone new to sewing.

*Beginning Sewing – Skirt · (3 Hours) · $30
April 4 OR May 30

Our Instructor will guide beginning garment sewists making a simple elastic waist skirt. Class will cover measuring for fit, casings and a hem.

* Beginning Sewing Classes may be taken individually ($30 each) or you may choose any 3 for only $75 (a $15 savings!)



Class Supplies must be purchased before beginning of class. If you intend to purchase items prior to class please arrive at least 30 minutes early. We cannot take class time to allow students to shop.

All classes are designed for adults, however, if your child is 10 or older and able to accept adult instruction we are happy to have them join our classes.
